Shabbat shalom my friends! This past couple of days have been rough in my household. We have all had a stomach bug on and off and it is exhausting when your children are sick and you are sick as well. It’s so easy when you’re not feeling well to get discouraged, especially when your kids aren’t feeling well. But on this day of rest, on the day of Shabbat, this psalm reminded me of the beauty of resting in God. Instead of being filled with worry, or discouragement, because of the curveballs of life, we are told to remember to turn back to our Lord in REST! And the reason why we need to turn back to Adonai in rest is because Adonai is good!
